Smoked shotgun shells are the fad in 2022 and this bacon cheeseburger shotgun shells has been one of my favorite shotgun shell recipes up to this point. I have made this recipe numerous times and it has never disappointed.
All you really need to do is to stuff some hamburger, onion and pickles in some manicotti shells, wrap them in bacon and throw them on the smoker. Top them off with some mustard and ketchup and you have an appetizer that will be the talk of the party!
Bacon Cheeseburger Shotgun Shell Ingredients 1 lb of hamburger
- 1 lb of hamburger
- 10 Manicotti Shells
- Kosher salt and black pepper
- 1/2 yellow sweet onion diced
- 10 pickle slices diced
- 10 slices of bacon
- Meat Church Holy Voodoo
- 6 slices of American cheese
Prep Instructions
- Boil your manicotti shells for 3 minutes until Al Dente
- Mix your hamburger, pickles and onions in a mixing bowl and add kosher salt and black pepper to taste
- Stuff Al Dente manicotti shells with your hamburger mix
- Wrap stuffed shotgun shells with bacon
- Season with your favorite BBQ rub
Smoking Instructions
- Preheat smoker to 300 degrees
- Spread out shotgun shell on your smoker
- Smoker shotgun shells until they hit 165 degrees internally (30 to 45 minutes)
- Place on cookie sheet and top with cheese slices
- Once cheese is melted remove from the smoker and enjoy
