I took some classic pizza ingredients and rolled them up in bacon, hamburger and sausage and threw them on the smoker to make this smoked pizza bomb.

I used signature Traeger pellets and set my smoker at 375 degrees until it reached about 130 degrees. At that point I threw on some more cheese and jalapeños until I reached an internal temperature of 145 degrees.

Ingredients

  • 14 strands of regular sliced bacon
  • 1 pound of hamburger
  • 1 pound of ground sausage
  • 16 ounce package of pepperoni
  • 1/2 jar of pizza sauce
  • 1/2 green pepper
  • 1/4 jar of sliced jalapeño
  • 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese

Prepping Instructions

  • Create a bacon weave on top of wax paper
  • Mix your ground beef and ground sausage together
  • Evenly spread out your ground beef and ground sausage on top of your bacon weave
  • Layer pepperoni slices on top of your ground beef and ground sausage
  • Spread a layer of pizza sauce on top of your layer of pepperoni
  • Spread a layer of mozzarella cheese on top of your pizza sauce
  • Add your vegetables on top of your layer of cheese
  • Roll it all up so your outer bacon weave layer is the only thing you can see. Be sure to close the ends with bacon

Smoking Instructions

  • Pre heat your smoker to 375 degrees
  • Place pizza bomb in your smoker
  • Once your pizza bomb reaches about 130 degrees, top with cheddar cheese and jalapeños
  • Once your pizza bomb reaches 145 degrees, remove from smoker and let rest for at least 10 minutes
